Dr. Haffkine Collections

Waldemar Mordecai Wolff Haffkine, 1860–1930

Haffkine developed a vaccine against cholera in Paris in 1892 and one against bubonic plague in Bombay in 1897. The Plague Research Laboratory he led in Bombay was renamed the Haffkine Institute in 1925. His reports, papers and photographs are now held in several libraries. These three are good places to start.
